Projects

Explore my key projects in educational technology and instructional design, including a learning object repository designed for educators to share their teaching resources, and my learning materials that help students strengthen their critical media literacy skills.

Work Samples

Lead Designer

I led the development and implementation of LORE, a platform that enables librarians to share instructional materials with colleagues and faculty. I spearheaded the project from conception through launch, including managing the technical implementation in Omeka S, establishing metadata standards, and creating an intuitive submission system. It has enhanced teaching collaboration and provides educators with access to high-quality learning materials.

Instructor & Designer

Lateral reading is an exercise that illuminates the fact-checking process for students. This online activity defines lateral and vertical reading and gives students space to practice this valuable skill.

Information Studies & Digital Citizenship Course

Instructor & Designer

I designed a media literacy course at Miami University that guides students to think critically about the production and dissemination of information and reflect on their own information habits. This course uses many different engagement strategies, including polls, structured class discussions, reciprocal teaching, and reflection activities.
